What is Sitemaps?

Sitemaps tell Obsurfable which URLs exist on your site. The platform uses them to crawl your content, map query coverage, and identify structural gaps that affect AI retrieval.

How does it work?

1. 1Paste your sitemap URL (or multiple sitemaps) in your company settings.
2. 2Obsurfable fetches and parses the sitemap to discover all indexable pages.
3. 3Site analysis and query trees use this URL list to check which pages answer which intents.
4. 4Re-fetch when you publish new content so coverage maps stay current.

Why it matters

AI systems retrieve specific pages—not your whole domain. A sitemap gives Obsurfable the complete picture of what you have published and what might be missing.
